However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. To obtain a Saudi driving license, a person needs to meet certain eligibility criteria, such as being at least 18 years old, having a valid residence permit (Iqama), and passing a medical examination.
In this article, I am going to explain step by step how to apply for a new Saudi driving license by booking an appointment online via Absher. Note that License Renewal on Absher is different than getting a new one. Anyways, let’s get started.
Book a Saudi Driving License Appointment via Absher
Visit Absher and login to your account. On the Home screen click My Services, and Select Traffic. Now click the Issue Driving License option. Click Proceed to Service, and click the Book New Appointment button.
Select the Driving License Test, in Arabic its (متقدم). Select the appointment City. Select the appointment details on the next screen which includes date and time. Confirm all the details and click the “Confirm Appointment Details”.
Once you confirm the details, you can scroll down and click the Print button to take a print for your reference.
That is it, now that you have booked your Saudi driving license new appointment on Absher. You can then visit the city you have selected for the test to apply and get your new driving license.

How much is the driving license fee in KSA 2024
As per the Government of Saudi Arabia, there are different fee for different types of licenses, such as there is private, Public, Work, and Motorbike License. So, here are the fee details.

Yes, and has been specified by The General Directorate of Traffic (Muroor). So, it is now confirmed that anyone with an old Saudi Arabian driving license (resident) returning to the Kingdom with a new visa and Iqama number has the right to replace their driving license.
