How to Block Sim Cards Registered on your Iqama ID

There is a new procedure you may want to follow in order to cancel or block a SIM card in Saudi Arabia. I am talking about the unauthorized mobile number if registered without your authorization. You can also block or cancel your own SIM card by just filling out a simple CITC form online.

You can easily how many sim cards in Saudi Arabia are registered under your Iqama ID. Then you can decide to either block or cancel any of them or use them as usual. However, there is no procedure to block your sim on CITC’s official online portal. CITC stands for “Communications and Information Technology Commission”. Remember to submit a complaint, you will need to register first on CITC. Anyway here is the procedure:

  1. Viis CITC official complaint service online portal.
  2. Then Under Submit Request, select “Number or Service added without your request”.
  3. Select a service provider, either Zain, STC, Mobily, Friendi, Jawwy, etc.
  4. Click the Submit button.
  5. Enter your details, such as Iqama ID, expiry, phone number, etc.
  6. Now choose the network provider, package type, etc.
  7. Once everything is done, click the Send to Service Provider button.

How to Track Sim Cancellation Request

Once you submit a request to block or cancel a sim card in KSA and you have received a reference number. Then it’s easy to track its status. Here is how to do it:

  1. Go to the CITC Track Complaint page online.
  2. Then enter your reference number.
  3. Now enter your IQama ID number.
  4. Click the Continue button and that is it.

Now you will see the status of your request either approved or rejected by the service provider or CITC review. So this is it guys, this is how you can submit a request on the official CITC online web portal to cancel or block your sim card and check the request status online.

Cancel a SIM on Iqama by Calling Helpline

If you are unable to submit an online request, still you don’t need to go to the nearest Telecom Operator franchise to cancel your sim card. In fact, this is the most common and easy way to cancel a SIM card registered under your Iqama number. Here are all the helpline numbers from different Telecom Providers in the KSA:

  • Mobily: 1100
  • Zain: 959
  • Friendi: 166000
  • Lebara KSA: 1755
  • Virgin Mobile KSA: 1789
  • Salam Mobile: 1101

Cancel Your SIM on Iqama by Visiting Franchise

If nothing helps at all, you need to visit the nearest Telecom provider office. Inside their office humbly request the customer care representative that you want to cancel your sim card. They will do it for you within 5 minutes.
